Our church as it is currently.

Then (1888)

Now (2000)

As it was in all the small towns and villages in New England, the church was the center of activity.  In 1888, the Clarks Falls Chapel and the one room school as well as the Woolen mill, the Grist mill, a saw mill, a store, the old Post Office, and a handful of houses made up the village of Clarks Falls.  We at the church today are proud of its simple and humble beginnings and as it was in times past, a lighthouse in the community and with the original deacons' benches.  We hope to reestablish in our little corner of Connecticut a church striving to reach the local residents of Clarks Falls as well as the surrounding communities with the simple and humble truth of the gospel.  Unity Baptist is our name, because as a group of Baptist believers we are all unified in heart and spirit to carry on the work of the Lord in this little haven we call Clarks Falls.
